Website Use
You may use this website for lawful travel planning, enquiries and bookings. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its security, copy content for commercial use without permission, upload harmful material or use the website in a way that may damage Rift & Tide Africa or other users.
Travel Information on the Website
We aim to keep website information accurate and useful. However, travel information can change, including prices, park fees, flight schedules, permit rules, entry requirements, health guidance, supplier availability and seasonal conditions.
Website content is for general information. Final services, prices and conditions are confirmed in your quotation, invoice and booking documents.
Quotes and Availability
A quotation is not a confirmed booking. Prices and availability may change until the required payment is received and suppliers confirm the services.
Quotes may be affected by exchange rates, supplier availability, park fees, permit costs, fuel costs, taxes, government charges and seasonal supplements.
Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when Rift & Tide Africa confirms acceptance, receives the required payment and suppliers confirm the relevant services.
You are responsible for checking that names, dates, destinations, services, rooming and travel details are correct in the booking documents.
Payments
Payment terms will be stated on your invoice or booking confirmation. Depending on travel dates and supplier requirements, a deposit or full payment may be required.
Late payment may lead to cancellation or release of services by suppliers.
Cancellations and Changes
Cancellation and amendment terms are explained in our Cancellation Policy and Booking Conditions. Some services may be non-refundable from the time of confirmation, including permits, domestic flights, park fees, special event bookings and certain accommodation deposits.
Traveller Responsibilities
Travellers are responsible for:
- valid passports;
- visas, eTAs and entry permissions;
- vaccination certificates where required;
- travel insurance;
- personal health preparation;
- providing accurate booking information;
- arriving on time for flights, transfers and activities;
- following guide, ranger, lodge and local authority instructions;
- respecting wildlife, communities, staff, other travellers and local laws.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveller. Insurance should cover medical emergencies, evacuation, cancellation, curtailment, baggage, delays, missed connections and the full value of the trip.
Rift & Tide Africa is not responsible for losses that could reasonably have been covered by travel insurance.
Suppliers and Third Parties
Many travel services are provided by independent suppliers, including lodges, camps, hotels, airlines, transport providers, guides, park authorities and permit offices. Rift & Tide Africa acts as planner, organiser or booking facilitator depending on the service.
Supplier terms may apply in addition to our terms.
Changes Beyond Our Control
Safari travel can be affected by weather, road conditions, wildlife movement, flight changes, park rules, government decisions, illness, security events, strikes, natural events and other circumstances beyond normal control.
Where changes are necessary, we will try to assist with suitable alternatives, but additional costs may apply.
Limitation of Liability
Rift & Tide Africa will take reasonable care in arranging services. However, we are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by the traveller, failure to obtain required documents, traveller misconduct, third-party supplier failure, force majeure events, government action, wildlife behaviour, weather disruption, medical issues or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
Intellectual Property
Website content, branding, text, images, layouts and materials belong to Rift & Tide Africa or their respective rights holders. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without written permission.
Privacy
Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
